Pathway Talent is recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Aboriginal Caseworker to join a dedicated Supporting & Securing Tenancies (SST) program in Coffs Harbour.

This rewarding role focuses on supporting Aboriginal individuals and families to secure, maintain and sustain safe housing while improving their overall wellbeing, independence and community connections. You'll work alongside people facing complex challenges, providing practical support, advocacy and case management that creates meaningful and lasting outcomes.

About the Role

As an Aboriginal Caseworker, you will provide culturally safe, strengths-based and person-centred support to individuals who are experiencing housing challenges or are at risk of homelessness. Working collaboratively with clients, families, housing providers, community services and other stakeholders, you will assist people to navigate barriers, achieve their goals and maintain stable housing outcomes. You will develop support plans, coordinate services, advocate for clients, and empower individuals to build confidence, independence and a stronger future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred case management and tenancy support
  • Support individuals who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • Assist clients to establish and maintain safe, stable housing
  • Develop, implement and review individual support plans
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and connect them to appropriate services
  • Support access to healthcare, education, employment and community programs
  • Build positive relationships with housing providers, government agencies and community stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate case notes, assessments and client records
  • Monitor progress against goals and support positive housing outcomes
  • Deliver services in a culturally safe and respectful manner
  • Identify, manage and report risks in accordance with organisational requirements 
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Experience in case management, community services, housing support, homelessness services, mental health, disability or a related field
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with Aboriginal individuals, families and communities
  • A genuine passion for helping people achieve positive outcomes
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience maintaining case records and documentation
  • A strengths-based, person-centred approach to support delivery
  • Sound computer literacy and confidence using client management systems 
Essential Requirements
  • Qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Mental Health, Disability, Housing or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Current NSW Driver Licence
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • Ability to undertake community-based outreach and support activities
