Pathway Talent is partnering with a respected human services organisation to appoint an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a three-month contract .
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused accounts payable professional who can provide immediate support within a busy finance environment. You will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, resolving supplier queries and supporting the timely completion of accounts payable activities.
Experience using Coupa and Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision will be highly regarded.
About the Role
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will:
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Review invoices for appropriate coding, documentation and approvals.
  • Match invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
  • Enter and maintain accurate accounts payable information within relevant financial systems.
  • Assist with payment runs and ensure payments are processed accurately.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder enquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Follow up outstanding invoice approvals and missing documentation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records in accordance with organisational procedures.
  • Assist with month-end accounts payable activities.
  • Identify and resolve invoice, payment and purchase order discrepancies.
  • Support the finance team with general administrative and transactional duties as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with organisational policies, financial controls and relevant legislative requirements.
About You
You are an organised and reliable accounts payable professional who can quickly learn new processes and confidently manage competing priorities.
You will bring:
Essential
  • Previous experience in an accounts payable, finance administration or similar transactional finance role.
  • Demonstrated experience processing invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and financial systems.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence.
  • A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • A valid Working With Children Check.
Highly Desirable
  • Experience using Coupa .
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision .
  • Previous experience working within disability, aged care, mental health, housing, community services or the broader human services sector.
  • Availability to commence at short notice.
