About Us

Pathway Talent is working with New Horizons to find a driven Business Development Specialist to grow New Horizons’ Supported Independent Living (SIL), in-home NDIS and icare services.

New Horizons supports people with disability and people experiencing mental health challenges, placing individual wellbeing, choice and independence at the centre of service delivery.

About the Opportunity
Based in North Ryde, this permanent full-time opportunity will suit someone who brings strong sales skills, sector knowledge and a passion for connecting people with the right supports.

You’ll proactively generate leads, build referral networks and convert opportunities into new service commencements. This role calls for someone who confidently picks up the phone, opens doors and follows through.

Working closely with New Horizons’ operational and property teams, you’ll understand available homes, support services and delivery capacity to identify suitable opportunities for growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Generate leads through outbound calls, cold calling, networking and targeted outreach.
  • Develop referral partnerships with support coordinators, case managers, allied health professionals, discharge teams and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across SIL, in-home NDIS supports and icare services.
  • Promote SIL vacancies and new properties to prospective customers, families and referral partners.
  • Understand individual goals, support needs and service requirements to help identify suitable options.
  • Work with operational teams to confirm service capacity, support ratios and household compatibility where relevant.
  • Coordinate introductions, meetings and property inspections, maintaining consistent follow-up.
  • Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through assessment, onboarding and service commencement.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and report on pipeline activity, referrals and conversions.
  • Deliver against agreed growth targets and identify opportunities to expand service reach.

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated success in business development or sales, with a track record of generating leads and converting opportunities.
  • Experience within the NDIS sector, including a sound understanding of SIL and in-home supports.
  • Knowledge of icare services and referral pathways, or relevant experience within comparable services.
  • An understanding of individual support requirements, support ratios and customer matching.
  • Confidence making outbound calls, building relationships and securing new business.
  • Strong commercial awareness, initiative and a focus on achieving results.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and follow-through.
  • An established referral network within disability, community services or icare would be highly regarded.

Why Join New Horizons?

  • Use your business development skills to help people access suitable homes and supports.
  • Take ownership of growth across three service areas.
  • Work collaboratively with property and operational teams.
  • Contribute your ideas, relationships and market knowledge to make a visible impact.
