Headspace is inviting General Practitioners to register their interest in joining our team across Sydney. Whether you're ready to start soon or simply exploring what a different way of practising might look like, we'd welcome a conversation.

A different way to practise

As a GP with Headspace, you'll work alongside psychologists, mental health clinicians, social workers, and allied health professionals to deliver integrated care to young people aged 12-25.
Unlike traditional general practice, you'll have the time to build meaningful therapeutic relationships. Longer consultations allow you to undertake thorough assessments, provide genuinely person-centred care, and focus on what matters most: supporting young people to achieve better health and wellbeing outcomes without the volume and administrative burden often associated with standard practice.

What's on offer
  • Attractive guaranteed hourly rate
  • Flexible working arrangements with your choice of preferred days
  • Longer consultations and the time to provide quality care
  • Dedicated administration time, supported by an experienced administration team
  • A collaborative and genuinely multidisciplinary team environment
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people
Where you'll work

With opportunities across our Sydney centres, you'll have the flexibility to work within diverse communities at Ashfield, Chatswood and Brookvale .

Our centres support culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and we warmly welcome expressions of interest from GPs from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Additional language skills, cultural knowledge, and experience working with diverse communities are highly valued and help us provide accessible, culturally responsive care to the young people and families we support.

Availability

We'd particularly love to hear from GPs who can offer afternoon availability, with appointments from 3:00 pm onwards currently in highest demand. Full-day availability is highly regarded; however, we welcome all levels of flexibility.

Who we're looking for You'll hold:
  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
  • Appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance
Successful applicants will complete standard pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check. However, there's no need to have these in place before registering your interest.

A safe and inclusive service

Headspace has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and harm and is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, people with disability, and the communities we serve.
Register your interest

If this sounds like the kind of work you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you, even for an informal chat about how it could fit around your schedule.

Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

IMPORTANT: Pathway Talent is an equal Opportunity Employer, and our people represent the community which we serve. We invite all the applicants to apply, including First Nations People, and people from diverse social, cultural and gender backgrounds.

Pathway Talent acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the land.
