About the Role
As an Inclusive Employment Support Worker / Process Worker , you will work alongside employees with disability within supported employment and production environments, providing coaching, guidance, and practical support to help them succeed at work.
You may work across a variety of environments including:
- Manufacturing and production facilities
- Packaging and assembly operations
- Warehouse and distribution environments
- Food and beverage production sites
- Social enterprises and supported employment workplaces
- Support employees with disability to safely perform workplace duties and achieve their employment goals
- Provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and inclusion
- Assist employees to learn and develop new workplace skills through coaching and mentoring
- Support production activities including assembly, packing, sorting, labelling and quality checking
- Monitor workplace safety and ensure compliance with WHS requirements
- Encourage confidence, engagement and participation in meaningful employment
- Build positive relationships with employees, colleagues and workplace stakeholders
- Complete documentation, incident reports and other compliance requirements
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and employment support teams to achieve positive outcomes
We're looking for people who are passionate about supporting others and enjoy working in practical, hands-on environments.
You will ideally have:
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care or a related field (or currently studying)
- Experience supporting people with disability, either in employment services, community programs, day programs or support settings
- Previous experience in manufacturing, food processing, production or warehousing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to inclusion and person-centred support
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow workplace procedures
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Confidence working within production, warehouse or manufacturing environments
- Basic machine operation experience
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Australian working rights
