Exciting Opportunity to  work in a highly respected Mental Health Non-For-Profit Organisation  who are seeking an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to lead multiple headspace centres and help shape the future of youth mental health support across their network.


About the Role
  • Fulltime permanent role 
  • Covering 3 long-standing centres: Ashfield, Brookvale, and Chatswood
As the Operations Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind high‑quality, person‑centred, recovery‑focused service delivery. You’ll ensure our headspace centres operate smoothly, meet clinical and operational standards, and deliver exceptional experiences for every young person and family who walks through our doors.
This is a leadership role with real influence—supporting teams, strengthening partnerships, improving systems, and ensuring our services remain innovative, compliant, and financially sustainable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead operational performance across multiple headspace centres
  • Ensure alignment with headspace Clinical Practice Manual, Clinical Governance Frameworks and Model Integrity Framework
  • Oversee service quality, reporting, and Medicare compliance
  • Recruit, develop and support staff and contractors
  • Build strong relationships with headspace National, LHDs, PHNs, NSW Health and community partners
  • Manage budgets, contracts and funding agreements
  • Support incident management, safety audits and risk processes
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
  • Support Youth Reference Groups, Family Reference Groups and community engagement initiatives
About You
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications, post graduate and/or significant knowledge and experience in a similar role.
  • Preferably full and current registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing services, including operational and budget oversight.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong people leadership skills and experience building effective teams and cultures.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building capability.
  • Proficiency with data management systems (e.g., SharePoint) and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional planning, prioritisation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • A commitment to person‑centred care, co‑production, and service excellence.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi‑site environment.
  • Familiarity with the headspace Model Integrity Framework is highly desirable.
Requirements
  • National Police Check (within 3 months)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • NDIS orientation module - or willing to obtain
  • Working with Children Check
  • Unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Right to work in Australia
