An exciting opportunity is available within a highly respected not-for-profit organisation seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the organisation. This pivotal role will manage front-of-house operations, provide exceptional customer service, support day-to-day administration, and help create a positive experience for clients, visitors, and staff alike.
 
About the Role - 2 Days per week, preferably Tuesday and Thursday
As the Receptionist in our office , you will provide a warm and welcoming experience for customers and their support networks. You will also provide professional and effective administrative support to our service users and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience:
  • Provide a warm, professional, and youth-friendly level of customer service and act as the first point of contact for all young people, families, visitors, and staff of our centre
  • Work collaboratively with young people, family, carers, and the team to ensure the highest possible level of care for our customers
  • Maintain a youth-friendly reception and waiting area
  • Provide information about services and activities
  • Answer calls and respond to queries coming into the centre
  • Ensure appointment reminders are sent to customers
  • Schedule appointments for customers
  • Promote customer surveys to young people and families and encourage completion
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and timely files and data systems in line with organisational expectations and legal requirements
  • Register young people in hAPI
Continuous Improvement: 
  • Actively participate in team meetings, operational supervision, and other continuous professional development activities as directed by New Horizons
  • Complete and maintain required organisational training
Essential Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Administration and/or a minimum of 2 years demonstrated reception experience
  • Warm, professional and youth-friendly presentation and phone manner, with the ability to make people feel welcome and comfortable
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office programs and electronic customer record systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders professionally and sensitively.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, work independently and seek consultation when needed.
Pre-employment Checks: 
  • Current Police Check (issued within the last 3 months)
  • Current NSW Drivers License
  • NDIS worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • NSW WWCC (or willingness to obtain)
