Exciting opportunity is available within a highly respected  not‑for‑profit organisation  seeking a skilled and passionate Full-time Safety and Wellbeing Manager who can lead our organisation‑wide approach to health, safety, workers compensation, and employee wellbeing. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll shape strategy, strengthen safety culture, and ensure our people are supported to thrive.

About the Role

As the Safety and Wellbeing Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing the organisation's health and wellbeing strategy. This includes an emphasis on the LPR model of workers compensation and the preventative strategy and approach that comes with it. With a focus on collaboration, stakeholder engagement, goal setting, and data tracking, you will work closely with the Managers, People & Culture and all other departments to achieve safety and wellbeing objectives, including reductions in workplace injuries, improving return-to-work outcomes and promoting positive employee mental and physical wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embed a strong safety culture across the organisation
  • Ensure WHS compliance and liaise with SafeWork NSW
  • Lead internal audits, incident investigations, and reporting
  • Manage Workers Compensation (LPR model) and return‑to‑work outcomes
  • Deliver the Wellbeing @ Work Program
  • Provide coaching, training, and WHS leadership
  • Support WHS activities across Sydney and regional NSW
About You
  • Minimum - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • Minimum – Five years’ experience in both WHS and Workers Compensation (ideally with LPR model)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, practices and standards relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in completing internal audits.
  • Willingness to drive & fly between sites & external locations regularly. (regional NSW)
  • Ability to develop and report on accurate WHS issues in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated intermediate computer skills including Office 365 and various other software applications
Requirements
  • National Police Check (within 3 months)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • NDIS orientation module - or willing to obtain
  • Working with Children Check
  • Unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Right to work in Australia
