As a Support Worker, you will empower people from diverse backgrounds to achieve their goals, build independence, and stay connected with their communities.
This role may involve working in a supported living environment or providing support to individuals in their own homes.
You will assist with a range of daily living activities, including (but not limited to) personal care, manual handling, meal preparation, household tasks, community access, and transport. At all times, you will promote dignity, respect, and individual choice.
What you’ll need
- Minimum Qualifications certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, AIN or equivalent;or
- University students welcome to apply (Allied Health, Nursing, OT, and related fields)
- Experience in supporting clients with complex needs and behaviours
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check (within 3 months)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module
- Ability to lift up to 10kg unassisted
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A heart full of empathy and a commitment to respect and dignity.
